Making AI qualification the product, and its cost clear
Bowtie finds and qualifies sales leads with AI. I turned qualification from a filter into the core flow, and made every credit's value visible before it's spent.
- Company
- Bowtie
- Role
- Contract product designer
- When
- Jun – Oct 2026
- Problem
- Bowtie's AI was its most valuable feature, but it sat behind a dense search tool, and every step spent credits before showing what you'd get.
- My role
- Lead designer on AI qualification, CRM enrichment and persona groups, from June 2026, as Salesbot became Bowtie. I worked with Bowtie's product lead in design syncs about twice a week, with the CEO on direction, and with engineering on handoff.
- Shipped
- Designs and working prototypes for CRM enrichment (handed off in September 2026), AI qualification, persona groups and qualify-then-review. Engineering builds from them.
- Impact
- Qualify-then-review came straight from a pilot customer's request. Bowtie's product lead called the qualification prototype awesome and said it was arguably better than the Figma in places.
